Day 01: Delhi – Leh
Arrive at the Leh Airport. Transfer to Hotel a full day of rest with a hot cup of tea or coffee. After tasty lunch later visit the Leh market and then enjoy a night in the serenity of Leh. Enjoy Overnight stay at Hotel.
Day 02: Leh – Sham Region – Leh
After you have rested comfortably and had a hearty breakfast. You’ll get to visit the Leh Palace which was the residential palace of the King Sengge Namgyal, Shanti Stupa which is located on the hilltop of Changspa and Sangkar. After served hot lunch back at your hotel and then taken to a majestic tour. Witness the gravity defiance of Magnetic Hill, visit the shrine of Guru Nanak Dev Ji at Gurdwara Pather Sahib and tour the Spituk Monastery. Indian Army has built a glorious museum, the Hall of Fame and after a quick visit there you get to seel the Sangam of the rivers– Zanskar and Indus which are magnificently tied in wed-lock. Another peaceful night at Leh then awaits you.
Day 03: Leh – Nubra Valley
DDay 3 of your stay will commence with a beautiful drive to Khardung la, which is the highest motorable road in the world extending up-to 5600 mit. high. After experiences the mesmerizing views at the top you will continue your drive to the Nubra Valley. Tents would be ready for check-in on your arrival. Later in the afternoon, you can walk around the town, visit Diskit Monastery and enjoy a delicious mean.
Day 04: Nubra Valley – Leh
After breakfast, you will visit the Samstalonga monastery in Sumur and enjoy the hot sulphur springs of Panamik. After lunch, you’ll drive back to Leh where a comforting dinner would await you.
Day 05: Leh – Pangong Lake
After breakfast, you will visit Pangong lake which is around 14,500ft from the sea level. After you get to walk through the third highest motorable road – the changla pass which goes up to 17,350 ft above the sea level. Later when you arrive at the camp, hot lunch would be waiting for you. After that, you can take an evening off and enjoy the changing colors of the lake and spend an night under the open sky.
Day 06: Pangong Lake – Leh
After a refreshing night under the sky, wake up to the picturesque view of the sun rising from the colorful and bright lake. Breakfast would be followed by an en-route visit to the Hemis Monasteries, the wealthiest and biggest Gompa of Ladakh and the the Thiksey Monastery which is the largest and most impressive Gompa of Ladakh. Tiksey Monastery contains the large collection of images, stupas and exquisite wall paintings. Shey Palace also falls on the route to Leh. The Palace was once the residence of the royal family and is located on a hillock which is 15km upstream from Leh. Then, dinner and another peaceful night awaits you at Leh.
Day 07: Leh – Tsomoriri via Chumatang
Start your day with a 230km to Korzok along the Indus River. On the way, you will find the beautiful villages of Changthang valley. The valley is full of hot Sulphur springs and you will get a chance to observe the Nomadic life of its inhabitants. In the valley, you’ll find animals like Pashmina goats, Yaks and sheeps grazing over the lush greenery. You’ll also get a chance to have a panoramic view of the Tsomoriri Lake. The lake has Torquoise coloured water and is 23 km long and around 10 to 15 km wide. Camping arrangements for an overnight stay at the lake would be made for you.
Day 08: Tsomoriri – Leh
From Tsomoriri, you’ll move to visit the beautiful and scenic village of Mahe which is known for its spurting fountains and the hanging white clouds. The famous Puga valley, well known for butan gas, would be the next destination. From there you’ll travel to Tsokar and cross the Polokongla pass which is located at some 13,500 feet above sea level. The visit to the Tsokar Lake would be followed up by the Thugke gomp which is very famous for wild Asses. The wild animals could be seen grazing and moving in large flocks. Your next stop would be the Tanglangla pass which is the second highest motorable pass and goes as high as 5350 meteres. The day’s journey would be end and you’ll be transferred to Leh where you’ll get to spend one final night.
Day 09: Leh – Delhi
Well, it is now time to pack your bags and collect all your memories in the form of pictures, souvenirs, etc. You’ll be escorted to the Leh Airport from where you can board the flight to your destination.
